Yin / Restorative Yoga is a perfect compliment to any active lifestyle. Yin Asanas (postures) are typically held for longer periods of time allowing the muscles, fascia and connective tissues to release more naturally. When we give our bodies the time and space to slow down, to sit with ourselves and be curious, this will allow the spirit and soul time to integrate and rejuvenate. Nourishing our inner Yin allows us to naturally come back to ourselves, becoming more grounded, present and self-aware. Ultimately the ability to listen to the subtle queues of the soul are realized through this practice. This is a great way to round out the week and set the tone for a restful weekend. Classes are candlelit and Tessa's voice accompanied by soft music will lull you into a state of deep relaxation.
